Have you ever wondered why Psalm 23 is so well known?

The first Adam did sin—royally—and yet God did not forsake him. Cain sinned, and God did not forsake him either. The truth is that God has never forsaken His people because of their sin, so why would He do so with His own Son? There is no way (and no verse saying) that God forsook the Last Adam after he had walked a perfect walk all the way to the Cross.
My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? Save me from the lion’s mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns. I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee. They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.

It’s An Inside Job – Hair, clothing, jewelry, cars, homes – Don’t let the lack of the finest things of “this world” measure your worth.
Your adornment must not be merely external–with interweaving and elaborate knotting of the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or [being superficially preoccupied with] dressing in expensive clothes; but let it be [the inner beauty of] the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality and unfading charm of a gentle and peaceful spirit, [one that is calm and self-controlled, not overanxious, but serene and spiritually mature] which is very precious in the sight of God.
