My most ideal day from beginning to end goes a little like this:
- I get up without the alarm;
- I thank Him for waking me, and ask Him to show me what He wants me to do today;
- I have breakfast as I watch the news;
- I teach someone something;
- I learn something;
- I reach back and help someone get up out of pain and misery;
- I encourage someone to believe that he is worthy just as he is and that money, fame, and/or fortune do not define or validate anyone’s worth;
- I would be able to spend just a few more minutes or a day with my dad before he left this place;
- I would thank Him for giving me one more day to do His will, thank Him for the time I had with my dad and the wonderful memories of my dad (his birthday is coming up soon, hence the consideration in this post), and thank Him for the family I still have;
- I would turn the light out and quietly pray that this day would actually happen one day!
