    Listening to the news is not always easy, think, for a moment, about where you get your news, are you still reading the newspaper or perhaps the dulcet delivery of your local NPR host is the only thing that gets you through your commute. Maybe you’re a bona fide Twitter or Facebook addict. Or maybe, like half of American adults, you learn about the world through your television.

    If you are new to watching the news, it can be very disorienting. It seems most media nowadays tailor their delivery to a particular party. For example, we know Fox News, unlike its name, is not very crafty or clever (In folklore, the red fox is often characterized as a cunning, wily or crafty animal), they are simply betrothed to Donald Trump everything they say or report is either in favor of #tRumpismn or egregious because it goes against #tRumpism. CNN and MSNBC appear to be unbiased but alas they favor the Democratic point of view.

    Hey listen if you want biased news not from a reporter or a pundit and you want news that is always Black and Petty as Hell – check out Doubledeemuva. Yes, yes, yes hunty she is Black and petty as hell. She only reads the news as she get’s it from other sources but she caters to an audience who (1) does not read the news; (2) does not have time to read or watch the news; (3) does not understand the news and how its delivered; (4) folk who have a lot of time to be on social media. I think she is great for our young folk and older folk who want to stay up to date on what’s going on in the world from the perspective of (our block). Folk are not and don’t necesilary (make shift word) understand why Putin is going after Ukraine or who are not watching the changes in the behavior of animals across the globe.

  • Can You Spot The Difference

    A Bridgeport man has been charged in a fatal shooting. 

    Police arrested Robert Sorrells for the deadly shooting of Jonathan DaSilva. 

    The shooting happened Oct. 2 on Arctic and Pembroke streets. 

    Sorrells was taken into custody last night and faces murder and gun-related charges. 

    Officials say he is being held on a $2 million bond.

    A Fairfield County man who is awaiting trial for an earlier DUI has been charged with driving drunk and killing an area woman. 

    Robert Oxer, age 26, of Darien, was charged on Thursday, Oct. 21 with a warrant for manslaughter with a motor vehicle, operating under the influence and motor vehicle charges, said the Connecticut State Police. 

    Oxer was charged in connection with a crash on Route 8 in Trumbull on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020.

    During the crash he was allegedly driving a motorcycle at more than 80 miles per hour when he hit the back of another vehicle, state police said. 

    His passenger, 36-year-old Shirley Regado-Rodriguez, of Stamford, was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple injuries. 

    Court records show Oxer is awaiting trial on several charges, including strangulation stemming from a 2019 arrest in Darien. 

    He is being held on a $250,000 bond.

    An Ohio police chief has resigned after he was reportedly caught putting a Ku Klux Klan sign on a black officer’s desk.

    Anthony Campo, the chief of the Sheffield Lake Police Department, was caught on CCTV putting a piece of paper with “Klu Klux Klan” written on it, according to reports. He also laid out a jacket to look like robes worn by KKK members.

    Yet – Ohio is the latest state considering legislation to prohibit public schools from teaching critical race theory, which views racism as systemic in the nation’s institutions and promotes race-based reverse discrimination to achieve equity.

    GREENVILLE, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) – The Greenville Independent School District has placed one of their teachers on administrative leave, and is conducting an investigation after a photo surfaced of one of their staff members with their foot on a student’s neck.

    Wednesday morning, April 21, Greenville ISD sent an apology letter to parents.

    GISD Superintendent Demetrus Liggins says the photo was very disturbing. “My initial reaction was first concern for the child, followed by immediate disgust by the image.”

    The Jackson family, however, has mixed opinions on the image. The 11-year-old in the photo, Zaelyn Jackson, says he thought it was all a joke.

    It’s a white, joyous Christmas for convicts with connections to President Trump.  The justice system — and the law enforcers who worked years to prosecute these cases — got a big lump of coal.  I’ve read that people have been approaching tRump to ask for pardons for themselves, their clients — even their former clients.

    Why it matters: This official has no role in the pardon process. The request is a sign of the final days free-for-all among people who want to be on Trump’s extensive pardons list for personal and political allies.

    Last evening, Trump granted full pardons to 26 more people, including his former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, longtime associate Roger Stone and Charles Kushner, father of Jared Kushner..

    Manafort was one of the first major figures to be charged in the Mueller investigation.

    Stone was charged and convicted for lying to investigators who were probing his contacts with WikiLeaks, which released damaging Democratic emails hacked by the Russian government during the 2016 campaign.

    Charles Kushner is a developer who pleaded guilty in 2004 to filing false tax returns, retaliating against a witness and making false statements to the FEC as part of a prosecution by then-U.S. Attorney Chris Christie. True story: Manafort and Stone were once in business together. In the Reagan years of the early ’80s, Black, Manafort & Stone was one of the most formidable lobby shops in town.

    Amazon says it removed several items of racist propaganda from its store in response to questions from a Democratic lawmaker — though white supremacist literature and other propaganda items remain widely available on the site.

    After criticism from advocacy groups and Minnesota Democratic Rep. Keith Ellison about the availability of Nazi-themed toys and baby onesies with pictures of burning crosses on Amazon’s website, the company said this week that it had removed several items and banned sellers who had violated its policies.
